Dec 12th - 16th

This week in the academy we have continued to work on our projects dealing with water.  We have also continued our other project with drawing pictures on special black paper.  And also we made posters for our water projects.  also all of the group leaders went to the sewage treatment plant and learned about what happens there and the rest of us students who stayed back had a guest speaker tell us about what he does to maintain our school and keep it open.

Dec. 5th - 9th

This week in the academy we have started a new project in art.  The new project we have started is where we have to print off a picture and then get special black paper and take a sharp tool and then scrape off parts of the black to make it light and lighter until its completely white depending on what the picture looks like.  We have also continued are project about bottled water and why or why not it should be sold in schools or not. I have enjoyed this week in the academy.

Weekly Blog Nov. 28th - Dec. 2nd

This week in the Academy we started a new video project in art and we also glazed our 3D shapes we made out of clay.  We also started a new project for Social Studies.  Overall I think this week was pretty good, it had its ups and its downs.

Weekly Blog Nov. 14th - 18th

This week in the academy we continued to sculpt a 3D shape out of clay in art class. Just about everyone finished there shape.  Also we took a quiz in for Geography and for English.  We are also doing a structure of government assignment.  At first I thought that it was a lot to do but after I finished everything for it I realized it wasn’t that much work to do.  So other than the quizzes I thought this week was both fun and boring at different points.

This week in the academy we started a new project in art.  Also we were doing things with chemicals in science.  In art we are making a 3D shape out of clay.  I have enjoyed this week and have had a lot of fun.  The only thing I didn’t like was identifying chemicals in science.  But other than that I have enjoyed the academy this year so far.

I thought that this week was really fun.  This week we worked on our grid enlargement picture, worked on our product testing video, and worked on our letter.  I liked Wednesday the most because we got to share our ideas and what we have learned about different technology with some of the school board.

This week was fun :P

This week in the academy we did a lot of fun things.  We did our product testing and went to Mayfair Mall.  Mayfair was really fun, we went to the Apple store and we also ate lunch there.  The Apple store was fun, we learned a lot of things about everything that Apple does and even got a tour of the whole store.  We learned about the iPad 2 and the Mac Book Pro.

For my personal blog this week i am writing about what we have done this week so far.  We are working on "product testing".  So far I am enjoying it.  I am testing which shoe is more durable.  We are performing a series of tests such as, throwing them on the ground, hitting them against a pole, running them over with a car, and soaking them in water for an hour.

I learned from this project that you have to learn how to work good with other people.  You also have to have some creativity to make a appeal ing room to other people.  And you also have to cooperate to make a room that everyone in the class likes.  The ropes course was really fun.  I t was a challenge for me but i learned how to accomplish it.  I think it was a great way to learn how to trust others and how to work as a team.
